Esther was abandoned at the shelter's thrift shop. One of our volunteers found her in a covered litter box with the opening taped shut. We later found out that Esther came fom a drug situation and was mistreated. The stress of her home life and being abandoned in a litter box made Esther very fearful of people and what they might do to her. Esther has come a long way since she has been with us. She has gone from not being able to be handled at all to allowing us to pick her up and clip her nails. Because of Esther's background, she needs to be in an adult home. She is comfortable with being petted but does not like to be "hugged and squeezed" but only time will tell! |
![]() Chucky/Sebastian #7762 I was left at the shelter in a carrier with a note explaining I was ill and as much as they loved me, they couldn't take care of me. I am strong again and ready for a my "second chance at life." |
